Have you ever noticed that we are affected by those around us? When we surround ourselves by people who are positive, persistent, and inspired, it rubs off. The same is true on the flip side: when we’re with those who complain and seek shortcuts, we might be tempted to do the same.
I’ve had many conversations with educators this month. It’s encouraging to hear teachers, consultants, and administrators who want the best for their students–educators who are willing to reflect on their practice and continue to learn. These educators have energized me!
Surround yourself by people with high standards, integrity, enthusiasm, and joy, and see what happens. Bring these qualities into your classroom and watch the uplifting effect on your students.
Mindset matters. Who will you allow to fuel yours?
