There are card games for all ages of children. Consider thinking beyond the traditional games and use a deck of cards more creatively to help with number recognition, counting, sorting, fine motor control, or just for fun! What about a scavenger hunt? Give your child(ren) all of the cards of one suit and have them search the house for the matches that you have hidden. They must find all of the aces before they move on to the twos and then the threes and so on. What about building a card tower? What about some addition games (or subtraction or multiplication, depending on their ages)? The possibilities are endless!
