Grade 4-6 Students

Many of the books on this list deal with issues of identity and coming of age. Children connect to the characters within and explore issues similar to the ones they might face themselves.

These books make excellent classroom read-alouds and are also wonderful for children to read on their own. They tend to generate interesting discussion!
